THE CIGAR BOX GUITAR WAS AN EVOLUTION OF THE DIDDLEY BOW AND HAS LITTLE IN COMMON WITH THE SPANISH GUITAR. THE CIGAR BOX GUITAR IS THE BROTHER OF THE BANJO AND , ALTHOUGH BOTH WERE BORN IN THE U.S.A. . . THEIR ORIGINS ARE IN WEST AFRICA.
