The 'Stratocrapper'
The 'Stratocrapper' is my latest six-string creation made from a toilet seat; a matched pair of tele pups complete with switch, volume and tone controls; and a Fender neck. As you can see, I had a little fabrication todo, but nothing too out of sight. Action is low for easy play, and it feels real good in hand. first cbg
Hi all, the photos I have just posted are of my first attempt at making a cbg using a $30 ebay kit to start me off . It's a steep learning curve!! I have managed to fix most of my stuff ups & now that I'm almost finished I just hope it sounds ok. With a fair bit of research on this site & Cigarboxnation, I've hopefully incorporated some of the better ideas for this style of cbg. Thanks for the advice Richard and Penny. Since I've made the first three, demand from friends has been high. I'm about to fret three right-hand CBGs with QLD maple fretboards so I'll put the advice to use.

I have learnt over my trials and perils the last couple of months (see the Deco build saga). That permanently gluing stuff is not the best of options. Inserting fine hypo needles into joints to loosen PVA is no joy. So I have two options I use…

Greetings, For sticking down frets Silka glue will do the job. and good old white PVA glue will also do. I've got a guitar building background so I've been using Titebond for over 10 years and it's still holding my early pieces…
